The Athletic Club Fundazioa team returns to competition this weekend for the second phase of this competition aimed at people with intellectual disabilities, which will take place in Gijón from March 7 to 8
The men’s and women’s players of Athletic Genuine face this new fixture in the competition calendar with excitement and the desire to once again enjoy being on the pitch. The competition, promoted by the LALIGA Foundation, is aimed at people with intellectual disabilities and focuses on values such as respect, teamwork and fair play.
After the start of the 2025/26 season last November in Tarragona, the Fundazioa team will meet again with the rest of the clubs at a new venue, which will include the El Molinón – Enrique Castro “Quini” Stadium, where the official welcome ceremony will take place, and the Mareo Football School facilities, where the matches will be played.
Over the weekend, more than 380 players will share a unique sporting and social experience.
