At Athletic Club Foundation we are committed to the SDGs established by the UN in order to eradicate poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for everyone as part of a new sustainable development agenda.
No poverty
We promote social integration and empowerment to escape the cycle of poverty by providing social, personal, and educational skills to people deprived of their liberty, as well as to youth, children, the homeless, and those living in contexts of violence. This ensures their future socio-occupational integration and helps to prevent relapse into delinquency.
Zero hunger
We provide food essentials and offer opportunities for beneficiaries to lead fulfilling lives.
Good health and well-being
We promote physical activity and healthy habits, preventing diseases and harmful behaviours, fostering a sense of belonging and psychological recovery, improving interpersonal relationships, and increasing self-esteem, self-confidence, empowerment, self-improvement, motivation, and resilience.
Quality education
We promote reading, the Basque language, and social awareness of different realities and the SDGs. We educate about the impact of sport on human development and merge literature, cinema, and football to offer educational opportunities, prevent truancy, improve academic performance, and transmit values such as respect, cooperation, solidarity, and equality.
Gender equality
We create spaces for sisterhood and promote equal opportunities for women in sport and film. We raise awareness of and visibility for gender equality, the fight against discrimination and violence, and promote access to economic and educational resources, as well as offering female sporting role models.
Clean water and sanitation
We ensure universal access to clean water and sanitation, promoting sustainable practices that protect this vital resource and enhance the health and well-being of communities.
Affordable and clean energy
We are actively contributing to reducing emissions and promoting a greener, more sustainable future for generations to come.
Decent work and economic growth
We equip vulnerable individuals and women with the skills needed to access employment, decent work, and entrepreneurship, aligning their skills with the demands of the labour market while fostering innovation and job creation.
Industry, innovation and infrastructure
We foster innovation and creativity in literature and film, strengthening their industries through social impact themes and encouraging new ideas and creative approaches.

We guarantee equal conditions for personal development, social integration, and access to productive employment, ensuring equal rights to sport and leisure. We promote participation, inclusion, and opportunities for all groups in society without discrimination.
Sustainable cities and communities
We provide opportunities for people deprived of their liberty and at risk of social exclusion to participate in sporting activities and championships, fostering social development, improving perceptions and stigmas, making their situation visible to reduce discrimination, and promoting an equitable, tolerant and safe society through the recovery of public spaces for coexistence and sport.

We promote social inclusion, equality, tolerance, and teamwork by providing tools for people at risk of exclusion, raising awareness of the need for peaceful and just societies, and combating violence and discrimination against children and young people.
