The final training session for the six teams involved in the Bakuva project took place at Lezama last Tuesday, alongside the traditional end-of-season picnic
Athletic Genuine, the team run by the Athletic Club Foundation, will play the fourth and final stage of the LALIGA GENUINE Moeve competition on 19 and 20 June. The squad set off for Madrid today, full of excitement and more eager than ever to enjoy the experience. The final stage of the competition will be held at the Federation’s facilities in Las Rozas (Madrid), which, over three days, will host the 50 participating teams who will play 75 matches over the weekend.
The Zurigorri team will enjoy three days of the competition’s final festivities, which will bring the 2025/26 season to a close on Sunday at 12.15 pm with the official closing ceremony. Once all the matches have finished, medals and trophies will be presented to the winning teams.

Athletic Genuine will play the following three matches:
- Athletic Club Fundazioa – Real Sporting Gijón / Friday, 19:00
- Athletic Club Fundazioa – AD Ceuta FC / Saturday, 11:00
- SD Ponferradina – Athletic Club Fundazioa / Saturday, 20:00

The lads and lasses of Athletic Genuine are looking forward to this final fixture in the competition calendar, organised by the LALIGA Foundation, with enthusiasm and a desire to enjoy themselves on the pitch once again. The competition is aimed at people with intellectual disabilities and focuses on values such as respect, camaraderie and fair play.
These matches will give the Fundazioa squad the chance to enjoy a weekend full of camaraderie and a passion for football, as well as to pick up points in the Fair Play standings, which reflect the values that Athletic Genuine stands for both on and off the pitch. Because football is everything when not everything is football.
