Aitxu, which specialises in tortillas and artisan dishes with a modern twist, is joining the Foundation and will support its projects
The Athletic Club Foundation is adding Aitxu to its network of partner businesses. Aitxu is a distinctive gastronomic venture in Bilbao, Getxo and Barakaldo, renowned for the quality of its tortillas and artisan dishes with a modern twist. In this way, Aitxu will contribute to the development of the projects that the Foundation undertakes across three key areas of action: Community, Inclusion and Culture.
The signing of the agreement at San Mamés was attended by Jon Uriarte, president of Athletic Club; Johana Ruiz Olabuenaga, director of the Club’s Social Department; and Aitana Avila Arzanegui, founder of Aitxu.
Following her successful stint on the RTVE programme MasterChef, where she became one of the finalists, Aitana, better known as Aitxu, decided to launch her own culinary venture in her native Bizkaia.
In a short space of time, Aitxu became one of Bilbao’s go-to spots for tasting tortillas, her most renowned speciality.
Aitxu offers up to 20 types of tortillas, all of them delicious and of the highest quality. Furthermore, its menu features a wide variety of artisanal dishes with a modern twist, and all its ingredients are organic, healthy and sourced directly from our vegetable gardens.
