Students of Basic Professional Training in Air Conditioning from the Bolueta center have chatted with Igor Porset about his book “Being Williams”
The Athletic Club Foundation has organized a new Reading Club for Igor Porset‘s book, “Being Williams”, with students from the Basic Professional Training Center for Air Conditioning that Peñascal Kooperativa has in Bolueta. Around 40 students have talked with Igor for an hour and a half, asking him all kinds of questions that they had prepared beforehand, once they had read the book in class. At the end of the Athletic Reading Club, the students and the teacher gave Igor a box of cookies with the image of the book covers, prepared for the occasion by colleagues.
Peñascal Kooperativa is a non-profit, social initiative entity whose purpose is focused on integrating into society people who are in a situation or at risk of exclusion due to various personal, academic or social circumstances. In this sense, the fact that “Being Williams” is an easy-to-read book has been an advantage for the reading club and an interesting experience for students.
The Athletic Reading Club in educational centers is a cultural initiative of the Foundation that is increasingly requested by teachers in schools, institutes or training centers. On the one hand, the students commit to read one of the books published or promoted by the Foundation and, once the book is read, a discussion is organized with the writer. The presence of representatives of the Athletic Club, such as the authors and players Óscar de Marcos, Ainhoa Tirapu and Igor Porset, is what serves as a hook to promote reading among students.
