The main route of this organised walk, organised by Fundazioa, links Lezama with San Mamés
Next Sunday, 14 June, Athletic Club and Athletic Club Fundazioa invite you to join a new edition of ‘Athletic Martxa’, an event designed to bring people together and enjoy sport, community and wellbeing in a unique setting.
This is a regulated, non-competitive walk that will link two of the Club’s iconic locations: Lezama and San Mamés, on a route designed so that everyone can take part, regardless of their fitness level.
Entry to the festival will be free, with tickets subject to availability.
The San Mamés VIP Area’s East Hall can be accessed will via Gate 14.
Three routes to take part at your own pace
The walk will feature three routes tailored to different profiles:
Main route (Lezama – San Mamés): Setting off at 9.30 am from the Lezama facilities.
Intermediate route (Artxanda – San Mamés): Setting off at 12.00 pm from the vicinity of the Artxanda funicular, ideal for those looking for a more accessible and family-friendly option.
Inclusive route (La Salve Bridge – San Mamés): Setting off at 12.45 pm from the esplanade of La Salve Bridge, specially designed for people with reduced mobility.
All routes will converge at San Mamés at around 1.30 pm, where a grand final ‘Encounter’ will be held on the stadium forecourt, with games and activities for the whole family to enjoy, bringing the day to a spectacular close.
Participation and details
For organisational reasons, participation will be limited to 3,700 people, with more places available than in previous years:
- Lezama – San Mamés route: €12 adults/€6 children (members and Club Athletic members €5).
- Artxanda – San Mamés route: €10 adults/€5 children (members and Club Athletic €5).
- La Salve Bridge – San Mamés route: €4 adults/€2 children (members and Club Athletic free).
In addition, all participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt from this edition of ‘Athletic Martxa’ as a memento of the day.
