The Athletic Club Foundation has brought a short season of four films to Madrid, all of which have won the Audience Award at the festival
On October 21, 24, 28 and 31, Sala Equis in Madrid will screen a selection of the best films screened at the Thinking Football Film Festival, which will be celebrating its eighth edition in 2020. The films chosen for this itinerant season of films, which, after its first stop in Getxo, are now in Madrid are “Nossa Chape” (Brazil, 2018, Michael and Jeff Zimbalist) on Monday 21, “The Pass” (UK, 2016, Ben A. Williams) on Thursday 24, “Democracia em Preto e Branco” (Brazil, 2014, Pedro Asbeg) on Monday 28, and “Next Goal Wins” (UK, 2013, Mike Brett and Steve Jamison) on Thursday, October 31. All of them have won the Audience Award at the Thinking Football festival.
Sala Equis is an unconventional leisure venue located in a historic building at Calle Duque de Alba, 4, in the centre of Madrid. Following the cinematographic tradition of the old Cine Alba from which it took over the location, it offers a monthly programme structured around themed film seasons. Thinking Football On Tour screenings will start at 7:30 pm, except The Pass (22:00 pm). The price of tickets will be €6.50 and can be accessed via the website or at the box office.
