World Down Syndrome Day
Athletic Club and the Foundation join the #LotsOfSocks campaign through a video in which four Genuine footballers take part
On World Down Syndrome Day, Athletic Club and Fundazioa have participated in the #LotsOfSocks campaign that, like every March 21 in recent years, aims to promote inclusion and normalise people’s differences. The social media initiative originates from the similarity of shape between socks and chromosomes – people with Down syndrome are born with an additional chromosome – and consists of wearing two different socks during the day. Footballers from our Genuine team, Josu, Álvaro, Inazio and Aitor, as well as their parents, have taken part in the video we’ve produced for the occasion.
