Meeting between Fundazioa, Bakuva and the Basque Government, promoters of the “Pasa baloia lagun” project, with representatives of the Finnish High-Performance Centre
The work of the Athletic Club Foundation in favour of the community and integration is always carried out in collaboration with other organisations and institutions that share a social purpose. This is the case of the Bakuva project, in operation together with the entity of the same name since 2013. Aimed at minors (aged between 8 and 14) at risk of social exclusion in the area of Bilbao La Vieja, every season three Bakuva teams coached by Fundazioa coaches compete in the school league on weekends, playing at home in Lezama (Athletic Club’s facilities).
This synergy in favour of community and inclusion is also supported by the Basque Government and Kimet Sport, promoters of a new project called “Pasa baloia lagun”, whose main objective is to build bridges of social integration through sport. Recently, the four participating entities, Fundazioa, Bakuva, the Basque Government and Kimet Sport, received a visit from representatives of the Finnish High-Performance Centre in Tampere. Thus, the boys and girls of Bakuva enjoyed a special session beyond the weekly training sessions.
