This weekend, Athletic Club Fundazioa will host the second phase of the tournament, with 33 matches to be played
More than 350 footballers with intellectual disabilities will play this Saturday and Sunday at the Lezama facilities for the Second Phase of LaLiga Genuine. A total of 33 matches will be played between 22 of the 44 teams taking part in this social inclusion tournament. Under the slogan “Sharing rather than competing”, the festive atmosphere is guaranteed both on the pitch and in the stands. As was the case in last season’s Final Phase, also held in Lezama, the Genuine lions and lionesses, accompanied by their joyful fans, will faithfully represent the values of Athletic as the host club.
The welcome ceremony for the participating teams will be held in the best possible setting, San Mamés, prior to the Athletic Club – Sevilla FC women’s match (Friday 24, at 20:00). The matches in this second phase will be played over three days, Saturday morning and afternoon, and Sunday morning. The competition will be played in 8-a-side football, in matches of 4 halves of 10 minutes each.
