This is a pioneer initiative that explores a transversal model of collaboration to which new town councils can join
Santurtzi Town Council recently agreed to join the Athletic Club Foundation. Aintzane Urkijo Sagredo, the mayoress of Santurtzi, Juan Carlos Ercoreca, president of the Foundation, Aitor Elizegi, president of Athletic Club, and councillor Danel Bringas Egilior, ratified the agreement at San Mames stadium. Santurtzi Town Council signed as a Benefactor and endorsed the Foundation’s commitment to a better society.
The purpose of this new initiative is to formalise, make official and expand these agreements between the Foundation and local councils, thereby allowing the Foundation to carry out its social, environmental, sporting and cultural activities in the municipalities that are members of the Athletic Club Foundation. This initiative includes agreements related to the common good and the Sustainable Development Goals targeted by the Foundation.
Specifically, within the wide range of activities and initiatives offered by the Foundation, Santurtzi Town Council has shown its interest in the the Reading Clubs and Workshops, comprehensive training on Child Protection for coaches, families and children, and other benefits as a Benefactor of the Foundation.
