The posters with the final projects of the Foundation’s and UPV / EHU’s first postgraduate promotion will be on display until January 15 at the Sports Center of San Ignacio
Last May, the students of the first class 2020/21 of the postgraduate course “Sports, Education and Coexistence: Protection of children and adolescents” obtained their University Expert Degree, taught jointly by the Athletic Club Foundation and the Faculty of Education of Bilbao of the UPV / EHU, in collaboration with the Bilbao City Council, through Bilbao Kirolak. This title, in accordance with the new Law for the comprehensive protection of children and adolescents against violence, is intended to train delegates for the protection of minors in the field of sport.
As part of their training, the students had to carry out a supervised final project in which they designed a proposal of good practices for a sports environment with minors. Thus, they had to know the characteristics of the sports context, carry out a needs analysis in terms of prevention and action in the face of violence and design an intervention proposal.
As a result of this work, the exhibition “Good practices for the protection of minors in the field of sport” arises, which can be enjoyed from November 19 to January 15 in the corridors of the Sports Center of San Ignacio. In it, they will be able to know the studies carried out by the students, learn about the emerging lines of work in this area and discover more about the importance of taking measures to generate safe spaces in sport for minors.
