Fundazioa will participate on February 24 and 25 in the “I Forum for the prevention of violence against minors in sports”
Jon Vázquez Eguskiza, General Director of the Athletic Club Foundation, and Iñaki Alonso, responsible for the Aterpe Program for the Protection of Children, will participate on February 24 and 25 in the “I Forum for the prevention of violence against minors in sports”. This I Forum is defined as a meeting point between all the agents involved in different aspects related to situations of violence against minors, especially in the context of sports.
Aimed at evaluating the current situation in Spain and surrounding countries, the Forum mainly pursues the identification of good practices from the perspective of children’s rights that can serve as a reference, as well as the preparation of proposals and arguments aimed at public administrations for the construction of effective childhood policies, all with the aim of promoting the sports field to be a space free of any form of violence.
The forum is organized by the Federation of Associations for the Prevention of Child Mistreatment (FAPMI) and ECPAT Spain, with the collaboration of Fundazioa. FAPMI, founded in 1990, is a non-profit entity, which includes people and associations sensitized to the defence of the rights of children and adolescents. FAPMI is the representative in Spain of the ECPAT International Network, the largest global network specialized in the prevention of Child and Adolescent Sexual Exploitation (ESIA). FAPMI-ECPAT Spain is also the representative of The Code, the entity that coordinates activities related to the Code of Conduct for the Protection of Children and Adolescents in Travel and Tourism.
The forum is aimed at professionals and students from different disciplines related to children and adolescents, organizations that work in the context of the protection of children and adolescents, and the general public aware of this reality.
