Official presentation of the first supporters club founded and operating made up of people with functional diversity in a LaLiga team
The coronavirus, the pandemic and confinement still have to return to normal a few acts that accumulate on the red-and-white agenda. This is the case of the official inauguration of the Peña Denon Athletic, which after many months of waiting has finally seen its debut in the South Hall of the San Mamés BAT Ring.
A party that has had a large red and white representation including Aitor Elizegi and Goyo Arbizu, Juan Carlos Ercoreca and Jon Vázquez Eguskiza, heads of the Athletic Foundation, the Athletic Club coach, Marcelino García Toral, and the players Leyre Monente, Mikel Vesga, Dani Vivian and Andrea de la Nava, as well as illustrious figures such as Andoni Goikoetxea or Manolo Delgado Meco. Denon Athletic was registered in 2019 in the Registry of Associations of the Basque Government and months later received the placet as an official supporters club.
It is the first Peña founded and operative formed by people with functional diversity in a LaLiga team. It was born with a couple of essential objectives: the one that is supposed to every rock that arises with the intention of supporting, encouraging and helping Athletic; and above all, the one that seeks to promote and enhance the inclusion of people with functional diversity in all areas of the Club, from the stands to its organization.
