The traditional meeting between bertsolaris from Athletic Club and Real Sociedad will take place at 12:00 noon on Sunday, February 1, at Torrezabal Kultur Etxea
The Athletic Club Foundation, in collaboration with the Real Sociedad Foundation and with the support of Galdakao Town Council, has organized a new edition of the BertsoDerbia, which will be held at Torrezabal Kultur Etxea in Galdakao. On this occasion, the unique Athletic Club–Real Sociedad derby performed through bertsolaritza will take place on Sunday, February 1, at 12:00.
The event will feature the participation of Onintza Enbeita, Aitor Etxebarriazarraga and Igor Elortza representing the Athletic side, and Andoni Egaña, Eneritz Artetxe and Amets Arzallus on behalf of Real Sociedad. Arkaitz Estiballes will serve as the gai-jartzaile (moderator) for this edition. One hour of bertsos filled with humor, wit and football rivalry, revolving around the great Basque derby such as the one to be played later that same day at La Catedral at 21:00.
25 years of Berstoderbia
This year’s poster pays tribute to the poster of the first BertsoDerbia edition, which was held on February 22, 2013, at Sala BBK in Bilbao, coinciding with the league derby between Athletic Club and Real Sociedad.
