Coinciding with Athletic’s visit to Castellón, we chatted with the most affected youth clubs in Valencia about the Club’s solidarity initiative
Help calls for more help. Affection brings affection and solidarity invites more solidarity. With this premise, representatives of Athletic Club’s Board of Directors and members of Athletic Club Fundazioa travelled to Alfalfar, one of the towns in the Valencian Community that suffered the most from the strongest consequences of the DANA. Athletic Club, whose youth academy is an essential pillar of its identity, was clear from the beginning that its help had to be directed towards Valencian grassroots football.
That is why Athletic launched the AMIC Athleticzale campaign, where hundreds of red and white supporters made their financial contribution to the cause, raising €32,528. In addition, the Club made an additional contribution of €110,000, all of which was earmarked for the purchase of sports equipment and other resources that will help the affected grassroots football teams to recover their normality.
