Athletic Club joins the reduced mobility awareness campaign promoted by the Centre for Access to Football in Europe (CAFE) and lights up San Mamés in blue
Athletic Club has once again joined the reduced mobility awareness week promoted by CAFE (Centre for Access to Football in Europe), which in its twelfth edition will be held from 8 to 24 March. CAFE is an organisation sponsored by UEFA to improve accessibility to football grounds for people with reduced mobility. On Saturday night, the San Mamés stadium was lit up in the blue of this international organisation in an initiative that included the participation of “Denon Athletic” fan club. Around twenty members and supporters of this Athletic fan club made up of people with reduced mobility made the campaign slogan “Total Football, Total Access” their own.
Since 2013, the CAFE Action Week has been calling for access, inclusion and participation of people with disabilities in sport. For Athletic Club, it is an opportunity to reaffirm its commitment to inclusive sport that enables people with disabilities to take their rightful place among their peers in sport.
