It is a special date because that day, February 26, Fundazioa officially turns 20 years old. The championship will be played at the San Roque stadium in Torrox (M\u00e1laga) and the Foundation will participate with its two Walking Football teams.<\/p>\n<p>Walking Football is a form of football that emerged a decade ago in the United Kingdom to deal with the inactivity and isolation that affected people over 50 years of age. This sport began to become popular in Bizkaia in the 2018-19 season, through the social project of the Athletic Club Foundation that bears his name. Athletic Walking Football teams have already played a similar tournament in Portugal in October 2021.<\/p>\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-21681\"
