{"id":9659,"date":"2020-04-03T11:14:54","date_gmt":"2020-04-03T09:14:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fundazioa.athletic-club.eus\/blog\/the-foundation-and-aterpe-with-save-the-children\/"},"modified":"2020-04-03T12:02:34","modified_gmt":"2020-04-03T10:02:34","slug":"the-foundation-and-aterpe-with-save-the-children","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fundazioa.athletic-club.eus\/en\/blog\/the-foundation-and-aterpe-with-save-the-children\/","title":{"rendered":"The Foundation and Aterpe, with Save the Children"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 24pt;\">The Foundation and Aterpe, the Athletic Club Child Protection Area, come together to collaborate with the emergency intervention \u201cA TU LADO\u201d, by Save the Children<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-9904\" src=\"https:\/\/fundazioa.athletic-club.eus\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/StChildren2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1600\" height=\"872\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Athletic Club Foundation<\/strong> and <strong>Aterpe<\/strong>, the club&#8217;s Child Protection Area, have joined forces in order to collaborate with the emergency intervention \u201c<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>A TU LADO<\/strong><\/span>\u201d, from <strong>Save the Children<\/strong>, an international organization that works for the rights of children. \u201cA TU LADO\u201d is a rapid response intervention created with the aim of alleviating the damage that more than 2,000 families that <strong>Save the Children<\/strong> is serving in the State are suffering, <strong>500 of them in the Basque Country<\/strong>. They are families in poverty and at risk of social exclusion, with a high percentage of single mothers with dependent sons or daughters, as well as workers whose income is not enough to get out of poverty.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Athletic Club Foundation<\/strong> and <strong>Save the Children<\/strong> collaborate on a weekly basis with a training session for a group of 23 children that our technicians lead at the Lasesarre sports center within the agreement that the Foundation maintains with the <strong>I.M.D. (Municipal Sports Institute) of Barakaldo<\/strong>. Given the impossibility of maintaining these face-to-face sessions, and as a complement to the online sessions, the <strong>Foundation<\/strong> and <strong>Aterpe<\/strong> have adapted the <strong>Serpents and Ladders<\/strong> and the <strong>Goose of Confinement<\/strong> games so that the children served by <strong>Save the Children<\/strong> can maintain their sports activity during confinement. It is a game designed for two or more players in which to win you must overcome certain challenges that combine entertainment and physical activity. It can be played as a family and it is enough to print, or project on a computer or tablet, the attached board on which to move the tiles. The idea is that the initiative, which does not require an internet connection, can be used both by <strong>Save the Children<\/strong> and by other associations that work with minors and with which the Foundation collaborates, such as <strong>Bakuva<\/strong>, <strong>Villagol<\/strong> or <strong>Zabaloetxe<\/strong>, for example.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The
