{"id":22541,"date":"2026-06-09T17:42:46","date_gmt":"2026-06-09T15:42:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fundazioa.athletic-club.eus\/?p=22541"},"modified":"2026-06-09T17:42:46","modified_gmt":"2026-06-09T15:42:46","slug":"new-project-athletic-fundazioa-sz-in-partnership-with-bbk-and-haszten","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fundazioa.athletic-club.eus\/en\/blog\/new-project-athletic-fundazioa-sz-in-partnership-with-bbk-and-haszten\/","title":{"rendered":"New project \u201cAthletic Fundazioa SZ\u201d, in partnership with BBK and Haszten"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-headline-3-font-size\"><strong><strong>This is a pioneering adapted sports project aimed at people who use electric wheelchairs<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On 10 June, the Sala BBK will host the official launch of Bizkaia\u2019s first Powerchair Football team, a pioneering adapted sports project spearheaded by the Haszten Association, in partnership with BBK and the Athletic Club Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event will serve to raise awareness of a pioneering project initiated by seven young electric wheelchair users, who until a few months ago considered it impossible to play adapted football.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of people with disabilities through adapted sport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Powerchair Football is a sport specifically designed for electric wheelchair users, combining competition, teamwork and personal development. Beyond the sporting sphere, \u201cAthletic Fundazioa SZ\u201d aims to become a tool for social transformation, highlighting the capabilities of people with disabilities and creating new opportunities for participation and inclusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The presentation will feature athletes, project leaders and partner organisations, who will share the objectives,
