This community initiative aims to ease the convalescence of children hospitalized in the Pediatrics ward at Cruces Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Cruces Hospital Pediatrics Ward as the Athletic Club Foundation&#8217;s playing field<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The idea, which was first implemented in 2019, is very simple: set up an improvised field with small goals in a common area of the hospital (in this edition, in the former children&#8217;s rehabilitation gym) and have players from Athletic Club&#8217;s first teams play a game with hospitalized children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Mikel Jauregizar, Oihan Sancet, Nico Serrano, Irene Oguiza, and Adriana Nanclares: the lineup for this edition<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A space that is usually a source of concern and anxiety as a result of illness is temporarily transformed into an enjoyable playing field. The people behind this magical transformation this time were Mikel Jauregizar, Oihan Sancet, Nico Serrano, Irene Oguiza, and Adriana Nanclares. Plays, goals, and saves made with a rag ball, but which help to heal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the game, the lions and lionesses visited the schoolchildren&#8217;s and pediatric oncology wards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Along with the lions and lionesses, Johana Ruiz-Olabuenaga, head of the Club&#8217;s Social Area, and Galder Reguera, director of
