From July 27 to August 2, our Genuine lions and lionesses will enjoy a very special stay in Houston, Texas, as they compete in the tournament held at Rice University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Matches will take place over four days, from July 29 to August 1, and will bring together teams from all over the world. Among the participants are Genuine teams from some of the most prestigious clubs in global football. These are, for example, some of the European clubs that will join the Athletic Club Fundazioa in this World Cup: Rangers FC, Newcastle United, Manchester City, Manchester United, Club Brugge, Werder Bremen, Bayer Leverkusen, SL Benfica, Sporting CP, Paris Saint-Germain, AS Roma, Inter Milan, and Ajax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From other continents, renowned clubs such as Tigres UANL and Club Am\u00e9rica (Mexico), Atlanta United and Inter Miami (USA), Corinthians (Brazil), Pe\u00f1arol (Uruguay), Boca Juniors and Racing Club (Argentina), FC Seoul (South Korea), and Yokohama F. Marinos (Japan) will also participate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The aim of this international tournament is to promote the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities in society through sport, an objective that aligns perfectly with Fundazioa\u2019s mission: using sport, especially football, as a tool for social transformation by promoting values such as equality, solidarity, self-improvement, and inclusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to the 8-a-side football matches, players -accompanied by their coaches and medical staff- will enjoy a rich program of cultural activities and excursions during their stay. These include an inspiring visit to NASA\u2019s Johnson Space Center in Houston and the thrill of attending a baseball game at Daikin Park, home of the Houston Astros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These are the lions called up for the World Cup:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hodei Barandalla<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Igor Etxebarria<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mikel Vaquero<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>M\u00aa.
