Contributing to social welfare is our daily aspiration.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every day of the week, throughout the season, in various locations, technical staff from the Athletic Club Foundation train groups of individuals from vulnerable backgrounds. During these sessions, sport, in addition to helping people feel better physically and mentally, fosters an atmosphere of companionship and empathy that lifts their spirits.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The enormous and positive influence of the Athletic Club brand on the community as a whole, and especially on vulnerable groups, provides a sense of pride in belonging that combats social stigma. Training with Athletic, and being part of its community, thus becomes a source of inspiration and hope that manifests in positive attitudes in the face of life’s difficulties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, culture permeates all the social work of the Athletic Club Foundation in a cross-cutting manner, promoting diversity, equity, gender equality, and other values linked to Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, while also protecting the cultural and sporting identity of the Basque Country, with particular attention to the Basque language.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n

Health, sport and environment<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Community projects are aimed at society as a whole. The Athletic Club Foundation classifies its COMMUNITY projects into three areas of work, which are, in turn, fundamental public goods: health, sport, and the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \n

Aimed at groups at risk of social exclusion<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We work towards the inclusion of everyone through projects that place those at risk of exclusion at the centre. We use football as a tool and proudly display the Athletic crest on the chests of those who need it most.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \n

In order to contribute to the improvement of the lives of people in our society, particularly those who need it most, we develop our work in three areas of action: Community, Inclusion, and Culture.
