The Festival<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n

Thinking Football Film Festival<\/strong>\u00a0is a film and football festival organized by the\u00a0Athletic Club Foundation<\/strong>\u00a0in collaboration with\u00a0Sala BBK<\/strong>. Since its first edition in 2013, the festival has grown in prestige to become one of the most important football and film festivals in the world.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n

Thinking<\/strong> is held annually and, except for special editions, between twelve and twenty films selected by the Foundation\u2019s cultural team are screened for a week at the Sala BBK<\/strong> hall in Bilbao. The films chosen to participate in the festival tell human and social stories that in one way or another are related to the world of football.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a whole, the\u00a0Thinking Football Film Festival<\/strong>\u00a0program helps to better understand the power of the football industry in today\u2019s world and its enormous influence on society. For this reason, the Foundation organizes film forum sessions after the screenings where issues of interest are discussed from a point of view that transcends sports. Representatives of the projected film (from the production team, the director or the leading cast), experts in the subject matter and representatives of\u00a0Athletic Club<\/strong>\u00a0participate in these talks, highlighting the regular presence of soccer players from our first men\u2019s and women\u2019s teams.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n

In these past years, celebrities from the world of football have passed through these\u00a0Thinking Football<\/strong>\u00a0talks, such as\u00a0Osvaldo Ardiles<\/strong>,\u00a0Alfonsinho<\/strong>,\u00a0Rachid Mekhloufi<\/strong>,\u00a0Lee Dixon<\/strong>,\u00a0Thomas Hitzlsperger<\/strong>,\u00a0Stefan Majewski<\/strong>,\u00a0David May<\/strong>,\u00a0Bob Bradley<\/strong>,\u00a0Georgios Samaras, Liam Brady, Pacho Maturana, Miodrag Belodedici, Ivano Bonetti<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0Ledley King<\/strong>, as well as\u00a0Athletic<\/strong>\u00a0footballers such as\u00a0Aritz Aduriz<\/strong>,\u00a0Ainhoa Tirapu<\/strong>,\u00a0Carlos Gurpegui<\/strong>,\u00a0Erika V\u00e1zquez<\/strong>,\u00a0I\u00f1aki Williams<\/strong>,\u00a0Marta Unzu\u00e9, Ane Azkona, Bibiane Schulze<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0\u00d3scar de Marcos<\/strong>.
