The second promotion of the expert title created jointly by the Foundation and the UPV / EHU began yesterday the academic year 2021/22
Representatives of the Athletic Club Foundation and the UPV / EHU inaugurated yesterday in the Juliana Agirrezabala Room of the Bilbao Faculty of Education the second promotion of the academic year corresponding to the postgraduate course “Sports, Education and Coexistence: Protection of childhood and adolescence”.
After the presentation and the initial greeting by Mari Mar Boillos and Asier Romero, Dean of the Bilbao School of Education, Gontzal Suances, from the Athletic Club Foundation; Irune Muguruza, Director of Childhood and Family of the Basque Government; Marcos Muro, Manager of Bilbao Kirolak; Laura Mintegi, professor at the UPV / EHU and representative of the Patronato of the Foundation; Mari Mar Boillos and Israel Alonso, professors at the UPV / EHU; and, finally, Iñaki Alonso, head of the Aterpe Program of the Athletic Club Child Protection Area participated in the opening ceremony.
After the success of the first edition, the new school year begins with a second class of 24 students. The university postgraduate course of the Athletic Club Foundation and UPV / EHU grants an increasing degree from the labor point of view, after the approval in parliament, on May 20, of the Organic Law for the Protection of Children and Adolescents against violence. Said law contains a chapter devoted entirely to sport that requires sports clubs to have a Policy and a Child Protection Delegate, as well as a minimum training in this matter for sports personnel.
