Next goal wins

‘Next Goal Wins’ recounts the wonderful story of how the worse team in the world stopped being such. A decade after having lost 31-0 against Australia in the greatest international defeat in history, the American Samoa national team continues to hold the last position of FIFA rankings, basically, the worse team in world. Just a month before the start of the qualifying rounds for the 2014 World Cup, the Samoan Federation contracts veteran Dutch coach Thomas Rongen, who will attempt to change this situation with a group of players that have not score an official goal in over four years.

‘Next Goal Wins’ is a documentary that narrates a wonderful story of overcoming obstacles, team work and values, and which vindicates the true magic of football.
